friendly atmosphere.
Our guest house has always been a
strictly Non Smoking Establishment.
******* "Thank
you so much for our stay with you,
your hospitality was second
to none. Ours was a last
minute booking and you accommodated
us by
allowing us to stay in 3 different
rooms, all of which were excellent.
We stayed in 3 other B&B's last week
and none came anywhere
near your standards of cleanliness
.... they were also more expensive!! You really have got it right, we
don't think there is anymore you
could do.
We hope to get down and stay with
you again next year"

OUT
& ABOUT in BUDE "Near the sea ..... we forget
to count the days"
BUDE on the stunning North Cornwall
coastof England dates back as a holiday destination to the Victorian era
When visitors arrive for the very first time they are often struck by the
extreme friendliness of the town's local people ..... here
you will find
all the atmosphere and charm of an unspoiled and traditional
English seaside town
There's plenty to do.
Stroll around the town and visit the many little independent shops
before perhaps
making
your way along the peaceful
Bude Canal heading inland from
its unique sea lock. Grab a Cornish Pasty for lunch
or, if you're still full up from breakfast
save yourself for a delicious West Country Cream Tea a little
later in the day.
After a ramble
along the South West Coastal Path marvelling at the
views
( the area boasts some of the most spectacular coastal
scenery in the British Isles
)
wander down to Summerleaze Beach where the little
fishing boats
are waiting to go out on the next tide.
Dip your toe in the open air sea pool, free to use and
filled naturally by the seawater
at high tide or just simply sit back .... relax .... listen to the ocean and let the world go by.
Head South from Bude, and an hours drive or less
could see you in the lovely
Cornish village and harbour of Boscastle, then
onto nearby
Tintagel with
King Arthurs Castle. Next stop, the charming tiny fishing village of Port
Issac
From Wadebridge you can hire bikes and cycle
along the Camel Trail to
Padstow
in one direction and Bodmin in the other
Close by, you would now find the busy surfing town of Newquay
and of course
you can always head inland if you wish to the Eden
Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan
The charming Devon village of Clovelly with
whitewashed cottages
and
cobbled streets lies a 30 minute drive to the north of Bude
as does Hartland
with its abbey & quay .... from Hartland
Point some of the most spectacular views
of coastline in the British Isles can be enjoyed.
Within an hours easy drive from Bude itself you can be in the market towns of
Bideford and Barnstaple
Perfect for your
annual holiday or for that well-earned short break away
from it all,
BUDEon the
North
Cornwall/North Devon border
is ideally situated to explore
this lovely part of the West Country
*******
"We had a wonderful holiday. Our bedrooms were
excellent, and you've thought of
everything anyone
could need while staying with you
.....
even down to
the nail files and cotton buds.
Thank you for making us feel so
welcome
in your lovely home!"

This is what the AA Inspector had to say
in 2009 :~
"There is much to admire at Fairway House, not
least of which
being the admirable commitment to
continuous improvement and enhancement of what is already
an impressive example of guest accommodation.
Physically bedrooms are in sound shape with good use
made of space.
With regard to housekeeping the team are to be commended
for
their diligent approach with close attention to
detail.
In terms of breakfast, it was pleasing to see a well
presented menu with
ample choice and use of quality produce.
Public areas are well appointed with conscientious
maintenance, thus
creating a very strong overall impression."
